This was a very informtaive seminar that discussed the facts about concussions. The signs and symptons of concussions as well as the preparation and education that coaches, parents and players need to know was discussed. Thanks to everyone from PBFC that attended.

Gulf Shores senior midfielder/striker Ian Meadows signed a letter of intent to play

soccer for Huntingdon College, Montgomery AL, on Thursday morning.

Turner received $15,000 in scholarships to help him with his plans to go to Huntingdon College in Montgomery Al.

 

 

He is going to study Sports Management and will start training with the team on August 15th. The plans now are that he will be starting forward and he is very excited about the team, his coaches and his new journey. We had signing day at school on May 5, 2011 which was full of all of his teachers and friends! Thank you to every one at Perdido Bay for helping him reach his goals.

US Youth Soccer mourns the loss of Dr. Thomas Fleck

I am sad to pass along the passing of Dr. Tom Fleck, "Doc". He was educator, genius, mentor, and friend to FYSA and many of the coaches on our staff. The high standards and the legacy he left us will live forever through the people he touched. We have in Florida a unique staff and much of the family feeling credit is tied directly to the direction he had for us. Many of the older staff coaches have continued this feeling and the willingness to stand up for what is right for our players. For those of you who were not fortunate enough to work with "Doc" a brief bio from US Youth Soccer is below. No matter what is written it would only scratch the surface of the man. CONTINUE HERE
